Caregiving After Stroke
STUDY BASICS
Are you the primary caregiver of a stroke survivor who experienced a stroke within the last 5 years? You may be eligible for a research study examining caregivers experiences after stroke, including experiences with rehabilitation services. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose is to learn more about the lived experiences and perspectives of informal (unpaid), primary caregivers of stroke survivors in the community.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- You are at least 18 years old
- You serve as the primary caregiver of a stroke survivor who
- experienced a stroke within the last 5 years
- received post-stroke rehabilitation (home health and/or outpatient rehabilitation) within the first year after stroke while you were providing care
- lives in a community residence (i.e., not currently hospitalized or living in a skilled nursing facility)
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
You will be asked to a Caregiver Survey that includes standardized questionnaires and participate in one-time interview via online videoconferencing. The Caregiver Survey may take approximately 30 minutes to complete and the one-time interview may last between 60-90 minutes.
