STUDY BASICS

Are you 60 years of age or over? Do you have a current or previous diagnosis of depression? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to identify potential barriers experienced by individuals which may prevent them from participating in studies. This study involves answering a brief survey.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this research is to identify potential barriers experienced by individuals which may prevent them from participating in studies.

  • Age 60 or over
  • A current or previous diagnosis of depression

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

A brief survey consisting of seven questions and is estimated to take between 2-5 minutes to complete

Howard J. Aizenstein

Howard J. Aizenstein, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Dr. Aizenstein’s research interests include identifying key brain structures associated with affective and cognitive processing, and how these change over time with and without intervention.
