The RESPOND Study
STUDY BASICS
We want to learn about how changes in reproductive health policy may impact people with rheumatic disease. This study involves one online interview that will last approximately one hour. Compensation is provided. You may be eligible if you are 18-45 years old, have been diagnosed with a rheumatic disease, and have been pregnant since your rheumatic disease diagnosis.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to learn about how changes in reproductive health policy may impact people with rheumatic disease. Researchers hope to use the findings of this study to work with policymakers and rheumatologists to better address the needs of women with rheumatic diseases who are seeking care to end a pregnancy.

- Ages 18-45
- Diagnosed with a rheumatic disease
- Have been pregnant since your rheumatic disease diagnosis

Mehret Birru-Talabi
Mehret Birru-Talabi, MD, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Birru-Talabi’s research focuses on improving women’s health and reproductive health care for patients with rheumatic diseases.
