Qualitative Study of the Experiences of Black Women with SLE
STUDY BASICS
Are you an 18-50 year old Black woman diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)? You may be able to participate in a research study to understand people’s experiences navigating their reproductive healthcare. This study involves completing a 60-75 minute interview. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
Black women with SLE have unique healthcare needs. The purpose of this study is to better understand people’s experiences navigating their reproductive healthcare. Researchers hope their findings will help Black women with lupus in the future.

- Ages 18-50
- Childbearing capacity
- Identify as a Black woman
- Diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
This study involves completing a one-time 60-75 minute interview by phone or zoom. The interview covers questions about family-planning decision making, reproductive health, and experiences with health care.
