Social Nicotine Smokers (Cigarettes or Vapes) - CRF-NOP Brain Imaging Study
Social nicotine smokers (cigarette or vape) between 30 and 50 years of age are needed for a brain imaging research study. Participation involves questionnaires, interviews, brain scanning (1 MRI and 2 PET scans), and the administration of intravenous hydrocortisone. Compensation provided.
Alcoholic Hepatitis Network Observational Study - Heavy Drinkers
Do you actively consume alcohol - do you consume at least 20 drinks per week (women) and at least 30 drinks per week (men) and have no known history of liver diseases? Participants will undergo a physical exam, blood draws, provide urine and stool samples, and complete questionnaires.
The Alcohol Survey Knowledge (ASK) Study
Are you between the ages of 21 and 60 and would you say that you have been a heavy drinker (i.e. 4 or 5 drinks twice/month for a three month period) within the past 2 years? You may be able to participate in a research study that will help to understand how people describe their experience with impaired control over alcohol use.
Do you have COPD? You may be able to participate in a study to evaluate the ability of a study drug, called benralizumab, to improve lung function and reduce the rate of moderate and severe COPD flare-ups. Eligible participants are 40-85 years old and are current or ex-smokers. Participation will last about 56 weeks and will involve several visits. Reimbursement for visits and parking/bus voucher.
Cannabis Reactions, Effects, Acute Thoughts, and Experiences (CREATE) Study
Do you use cannabis? If you are between the ages of 18 to 25 and use cannabis at least weekly, you may be eligible to participate in a research study. The CREATE Study examines cannabis use, mood, experiences, and behaviors in the lab and throughout your day. We offer evening hours and weekends for study visits to fit your schedule.

MyPaTH Story Booth – COVID-19 Stories
Participants are invited to share how they are maintaining their health during the coronavirus pandemic, or to share what it is like being ill with COVID-19 and/or caring for a loved one who is ill with COVID-19. Participation in this research study involves one 45-minute session that takes place over the phone. Eligible participants must be able to read and understand English.
Benzodiazepine Discontinuation Study
Are you currently receiving opioid maintenance treatment (methadone or buprenorphine)? And do you regularly take benzodiazepines (such as Valium, Klonopin, or Xanax) and are interested in discontinuing benzodiazepine use? You may be able to participate in a research study that will help you to slowly stop taking benzodiazepines by teaching you skills to help with withdrawal.
Craving and Smoking Behavior Study
Are you 26-55 years old and interested in quitting smoking? You may eligible for a study to test new methods aimed at helping individuals quit smoking. This is not a treatment study. This study includes 10 in-person visits. Study procedures involve completing questionnaires and undergoing an EEG (measures brain activity) and tDSC (non-invasive brain stimulation). Compensation is provided.

Brain Imaging Research Study - Social Smokers and Vapers
Are you aged 18–55 and smoke or vape nicotine-containing products at least twice per month? You may be able to participate in a research study to learn more about a protein in the brain that may play a role in substance use disorders. Compensation is provided.
Biobehavioral Characteristics of Smokers
Are you 18-49 years old, a current smoker, and able to speak fluent English? You may be able to take part in a research study to learn more about the characteristics of current smokers. This study involves 1 screening visit and 2 study visits, with one of the visits involving an MRI brain scan. Participants must be willing to not smoke for 8 hours before the 2 study visits. Compensation provided.
