Qualitative Study of the Experiences of Black Women with SLE

Are you an 18-50 year old Black woman diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)? You may be able to participate in a research study to understand people’s experiences navigating their reproductive healthcare. This study involves completing a 60-75 minute interview. Compensation is provided.

COMPENSATION: Participants will earn $75 for the interview. Participants will be asked if they are interested in other research activities for which they may be eligible.

MyPaTH Story Booth 2.0

Interested in sharing your story about health, illness, or research? Patients and caregivers are needed to participate in a research study to help learn more about topics that are important to you and that may improve health and health care. Participation involves one 45-minute session that takes place over the phone. Eligible participants must be able to read and understand English.

CoSMIC III

Are you planning to undergo a hysterectomy at UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital? Are you taking escitalopram (Lexapro)? You may be eligible for a research study through the Center for Family Planning Research to build a model that shows how medicines placed in the vagina, cervix, or uterus are processed by the body. This model will be used to help develop new medicines. Compensation is provided.

Interviews about Long-Acting Reversible Contraception in People with Chronic Medical Conditions

Have you been diagnosed with epilepsy, diabetes, or cystic fibrosis? You may be eligible for a research study to understand decision making about long-acting reversible contraception (such as an IUD or Nexplanon). Participation involves one interview (over Zoom) that lasts about 1 hour. Compensation is provided.

Merck BF Study

Are you breastfeeding and ready to completely wean your baby from breastmilk? If you are age 18-45 and HIV negative, you may be eligible to help to advance HIV prevention research. Women in this study take 1 dose of an investigational drug and then researchers measure how much of the medication gets into their blood and breastmilk.

AGE: At least 18 years old

Preconception Education for Women with Mobility Disability -- Study 3

Are you interested in becoming pregnant in the next 5 years? Do you have a mobility disabilities? We want to provide better education to help you be healthy and ready no matter what you decide. You may be able to participate in a research study to learn more about preconception health and mobility disabilities. Participants will be compensated for their time.
