Epilepsy & Gynecology Clinic
STUDY BASICS
Are you 18-35 years old, female/assigned female at birth, and diagnosed with epilepsy? You may be eligible for a research study about how women with epilepsy prefer to receive neurologic and gynecologic care, including if they would go to a joint neurology/gynecology clinic. Participation in this study involves completing an hour-long, one-on-one interview over Zoom with a research assistant.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this research study is to interview people with epilepsy about how they would like their gynecologic and neurologic medical needs to be met, including if they'd be interested in attending a joint neurology and gynecology clinic.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Female / assigned female at birth
- Ages 18-35 years old
- Prior diagnosis of epilepsy
- Taking an antiseizure medication
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Laura Kirkpatrick, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology. A graduate of the University of Chicago and Georgetown University, Dr. Kirkpatrick’s research focuses on pediatric neurology and reproductive healthcare for young people.
