STUDY BASICS

Do you have a child aged 6–11 with ADHD who takes stimulant medication? You may qualify for a research study testing LemurDx, a smartwatch app that helps researchers tell if a child has taken their medication. LemurDx uses data like movement, heart rate, and activity level to distinguish between children with and without ADHD. Compensation provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

To find out if the LemurDx smartwatch app can help researchers tell whether a child with ADHD has taken their medication, based on the data collected from the watch.

About 100 children, ages 6-11, and their caregivers will take part in this study. Each child must have a diagnosis of ADHD (hyperactive/impulsive or combined presentation), take stimulant ADHD medication, take medication “vacations” (e.g., skipping medication on certain days, like weekends or school breaks), and be willing to wear a smartwatch with the LemurDx app installed on it for a week.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?
  • Ages 6-11
  • Have ADHD & takes stimulant ADHD medication
  • Willing to wear a smartwatch for one week
  • Read and understand English

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

This study involves two office visits that happen one week apart. During the first visit, your child will complete behavioral activities, while you answer questions about yourself and your child. Next, your child will wear the smartwatch, and you will answer brief surveys at the end of each day for one week. At the second office visit, your child will complete the same activities, and you will provide us with feedback on the LemurDx app.
