STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a 10-12 year old girl or an 11-13 year old boy? Your child may be able to participate in a study to learn more about the effects of puberty on brain development and anxiety in teenagers. Participation involves interviews and questionnaires, an fMRI scan, and providing hair and saliva samples. Compensation is provided.

MEET THE RESEARCHER


Cecile Ladouceur

Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Ladouceur is a clinical child psychologist with expertise in developmental affective neuroscience. Her research program seeks to understand how alterations in the development of brain circuitry supporting emotion and motivation contribute to risk for anxiety and depression during adolescence.
