STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a generally healthy 8-17 years old? Your child may be eligible for a research study to help learn how to use smartphones to monitor lung function, and to identify changes in the airways that are associated with disease attacks in sick children. Most participants will only perform a one-time study visit. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well a new smartphone technology called “AWARE” (Acoustic WAveform Respiratory Examination) can measure the size of your airways and if it can help diagnose certain diseases of the lungs.
