STUDY BASICS

Are you planning a scar contracture release and reconstruction surgery with your physician? Are you willing to be assigned by chance to one of two treatments, either a standard of care (SOC) surgery, or an SOC surgery plus a graft of your own fat? You may be eligible for a research study to compare these surgeries.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of a standard of care treatment for full thickness wounds, injury or burns to a novel procedure which adds fat tissue transfer to the standard of care surgery.

  • Are you 18 years of age or older?
  • Are planning a scar contracture release and reconstruction surgery with your physician

 


WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

  • Your study participation will last approximately 9 months, after your surgery.
  • The study is assessing the effect of a surgical intervention, using your own harvested fat, gathered through liposuction.
