Autologous Point-of-Care Adipose Therapy: Recent Injury
STUDY BASICS
Have you had a recent injury that required a fasciotomy (a surgical procedure where the fascia, the tough connective tissue that surrounds muscles, is cut to relieve pressure)? Are you willing to be assigned by chance to one of two reconstructive treatments, either a standard of care (SOC) surgery, or an SOC surgery plus a graft of your own fat? You may be eligible for a research study.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of a standard of care treatment for full thickness wounds, injury or burns to a novel procedure which adds fat tissue transfer to the standard of care surgery.
