Teen Economic Abuse - TEA - Adolescents 13-17
STUDY BASICS
Are you the parent of a teen 13-17 years old? Your child may be eligible for a research study to better understand the experiences and attitudes teens have around academics, work, and financial pressures in relationships. Participants will take part in 3 zoom focus groups. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
This study wants to hear about school, work, and financial pressures young people experience in their relationships.
Futures Without Violence (a national violence prevention organization) and researchers at University of Pittsburgh received funds from All State Foundation. This study would like to share some of the research they have done. They want to hear from young people in the United States about their relationships. They want to know how romantic relationships might affect school, work, and money.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?
- Ages 13-17
- Able to speak and understand English
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
If your child agrees, your child will participate in three 60-90 minute listening sessions. This will be done ONLINE (via a confidential ZOOM link). We will ask young people about school, work, and money pressures in relationships and what supports and resources young people need.
