Understand user preferences and needs for future school buses: Perspectives of parents and children
STUDY BASICS
Do you have a child 11-17 years of age that travels between home and school by taking the school bus? You are your child may be eligible for a research study to take a one-on-one interview on transportation choices to school and your viewpoints on school buses. The results will give guidance for designing the future mixed fleet of school buses and conducting user evaluations.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of our research study is to investigate students’ expectations on nowadays school buses and look for ideal solutions for the further design of electric school buses. The results of the experiment will give guidance for designing the future mixed fleet of school buses and conducting user evaluations.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Parent of a child 11-17 years-old
- Child travels between home and school by taking the school bus
- Able to focus and answer questions in approximately 60 minutes
- Willing to have interviews audio-recorded (participants who are unwilling to be audio recorded will be excluded)
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
A one-on-one interview that will last around 45 - 60 minutes
