STUDY BASICS

Have you purchased food from a food retailer (i.e. grocery store) in the last 6 months? Are you 65 years old or older? You may be eligible to participate in a research study learning about how people decide what foods to purchase.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of common messaging techniques on intention to purchase food products. The research will benefit society by providing novel information on how messaging techniques can be used to encourage the purchasing of healthy food items. 


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Eligible participants:

  • Are 65 years of age or older
  • Have purchased food products from a food retailer within the last 6 months 
  • Have internet access via computer, smartphone, or tablet 
  • Able to speak/read/write in English

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

As a participant, you will be asked to complete a one-on-one interview (virtual or in person) in which you will be asked to respond to a questionnaire about food choice. You will also be asked questions about your decision-making process.
