Modeling Adolescent Health Care Decision-Making for Vaccines - Adolescent age 12-17

STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a child age 12-17? You and/or your child may be eligible for a research study to assess assessment of vaccine consent policies in your area of living. Participation involves focus groups with different stakeholders (parent and/or adolescent). Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

The goal of this study is to assess assessment of vaccine consent policies in your area of living. In order to examine knowledge and beliefs, we will conduct focus groups with different stakeholders. Subsequent to the facilitated focus group discussions, the conversations will be transcribed and thematically analyzed.

Parent of an adolescent age 12-17 and/or adolescent age 12-17

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

This study involves 3 x two-hour-long focus group discussions with other individuals and members of the research team.  

• Adolescent participants:  Your child and other adolescents will talk with members of the study team. The study team members will ask questions about young people’s knowledge of vaccine consent laws.
• Parent participants:  You and other parents will talk with members of the study team.  The study team members will ask questions about your knowledge of vaccine consent laws.
