STUDY BASICS

Are you 18 to 29 years old? Have you been to prison or jail, or been on parole or probation, in the last year? You may be eligible for a study to develop and test a program to screen and link young adults involved in the criminal legal system to substance use treatment and HIV prevention services. Compensation provided.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this project is to develop and test a program to screen and link young adults involved in the criminal legal system to substance use treatment and HIV prevention services. 


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • 18-29 years old
  • involved in the legal system in the past year (for example, on probation or parole, or in jail or prison)
  • identify as LGBTQIA+

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

A one-time focus group or interview lasting from 60-75 minutes. The focus group or interview will be conducted either online via Zoom or in person, with a researcher from Dr. Dauria’s research team.  The focus group or interview will include questions about:

  • what information and services would be most helpful
  • how an app/website could help connect you with services
