STUDY BASICS

Researchers are seeking volunteers to participate in an Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) immune response research study. The study requires one 30 minute visit involving a blood draw and a survey. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this research study is to determine the effects of exposure to adeno-associated virus (AAV). AAVs are promising gene therapy vectors. Exposure to AAV is can result in the production of neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) that make AAV-based gene therapy ineffective. In this study, we will measure the level of NAbs in researchers working with AAV, stimulate immune cells from whole blood, measure cytokine levels, antibody isotype, and characterize immune cell markers.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Age 18 and older
  • Have worked with AAV in a research lab setting

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

For this study, you will answer a few questions on a survey and have your blood taken.
