STUDY BASICS

Are you an adult between the ages of 18 and 79 with no history of injury to your brain? You may be eligible for a research study to better understand the role of blood chemistry, genetics, and stress in recovery from traumatic brain injury (TBI). This study involves 1 visit that will take 1-2 hours. Compensation is provided.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this research is to help us understand the role of blood chemistry, genetics, and stress in recovery from traumatic brain injury (TBI). 


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Age 18 to 79
  • No history of traumatic brain injury (TBI) or brain abnormalities

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Complete 1 visit that will take 1-2 hours. At this visit we will do the following:

1. Ask you to provide us with demographic and recent health history. We would like to have access to your past, current, and future medical records.  We will ask you about symptoms or concerns related to our research measures. For example, we may ask if you have experienced seizures, fatigue, or depression. We will also ask about your medications. 

2. Ask you to provide us with a blood, fingernail trimming, and/or saliva sample.
