STUDY BASICS
Are you managing a chronic or long-term illness such as diabetes, cancer, or migraines? You may be eligible for a research study on digital clinical support systems. This study is testing a new interface designed to improve how patients access health information online. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
This research study aims to collect perspectives on clinical decision-making and to evaluate different interfaces designed to aid in decision support.

- Adults (18–65)
- Used Reddit in the past
- have been diagnosed with a chronic illness (e.g., diabetes, cancer, migraines)
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
- 45–60 minutes via Zoom where you try out our tool aiming to improve access to online health information
- Optional extended use to help us refine the tool

Mayank Goel, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Goel’s research focuses on designing, implementing, and testing new sensing systems for immediate, high-impact problems in various domains, including health sensing, technologies for developing world, activity recognition, and novel interactions.
