Cancer Nutrition Study: CaNS

Are you a patient receiving immunotherapy for melanoma or lung cancer? If yes, you may be eligible to participate in a diet research study to understand how certain probiotic (fermented food) and prebiotic supplements (high-fiber) impact the gut microbiome, cancer treatment response, and treatment side effects. Compensation is provided.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Lower Extremities Study

Have you been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) on your lower extremity (below the knee)? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study to help researchers determine if the need for surgical treatment of SCC can be eliminated by injecting a solution of a chemotherapeutic drug.

LOCATION: UPMC St. Margaret Dermatology

COMPENSATION: up to $100

Evaluating serious game features to maximize engagement and game effects

Are you an adult with a history of cancer? Do you have any prior experience playing video games? You may be eligible for a research study to understand how different game features impact factors such as engagement and self-advocacy. We will be surveying anyone who has had prior gaming experience and a history of chronic illnesses. Compensation is provided.

AGE: 18 and older

DURATION: approximately 70 minutes

VISITS: 4 online survey

LOCATION: Online

COMPENSATION: Three participants will be randomly selected to receive one of an iPad, $100 Amazon gift card, and $50 Amazon gift card.

Work Limitations in Nurses with Cancer

Are you a nurse that has been diagnosed with cancer? You may be eligible for a research study to understand work experiences among nurses with cancer.
