Breast Cancer

AGE: 18 and older

DURATION: up to 10 months

VISITS: 3 sessions

All of Us Pennsylvania Research Program

All of Us wants at least one million people to join. Your participation can help shape the future of health for generations to come. People who join will share information. This might be about their health, habits, and what it’s like where they live. It might also be about family history and genes. By looking for patterns, researchers may learn more about what affects people’s health.

Self-Advocacy Lay Navigation Intervention

Have you been diagnosed with cancer? If so, you may be eligible for a research study from the University of Pittsburgh looking at how adults with cancer self-advocate or stand up for themselves. As a participant of this study, you will complete a 45-minute one-on-one interview in-person, over the phone, or on Zoom. Compensation is provided.

AGE: 18 and older

DURATION: about 45 minutes

VISITS: 1 interview

LOCATION: in-person, over the phone, or on Zoom

MyPaTH Story Booth 2.0

Interested in sharing your story about health, illness, or research? Patients and caregivers are needed to participate in a research study to help learn more about topics that are important to you and that may improve health and health care. Participation involves one 45-minute session that takes place over the phone. Eligible participants must be able to read and understand English.

DURATION: 45 minutes

VISITS: 1 visit or phone call

The Experiences of Self-Advocacy in Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer - Adult Arm

Have you been diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 18-29? You may be eligible for a research study to look at how adolescents and young adults with cancer self-advocate or stand up for themselves.

DURATION: 65 minutes total

VISITS: Online survey and interview (in person or remote)

COMPENSATION: $25

Cancer and Opioids: Patient Experiences with Stigma (COPES)

Have you been diagnosed with advanced cancer and currently take prescription pain medication to treat your pain? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to develop interventions to promote safe, effective, and informed opioid pain management practices for millions of patients with cancer pain. Compensation is provided.

DURATION: Up to 5 months

VISITS: 4 online activities

Are you a nurse that has been diagnosed with cancer? You may be eligible for a research study to understand work experiences among nurses with cancer.

DURATION: 60 minutes

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Lower Extremities Study

Have you been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) on your lower extremity (below the knee)? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study to help researchers determine if the need for surgical treatment of SCC can be eliminated by injecting a solution of a chemotherapeutic drug.
