Playful Learning Study – Parent of a 4-Year-Old Child

STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a healthy, typically developing 4-year old and speak English and/or Spanish? You may be able to participate in a research study to help researchers develop a family program. Participation involves making short videos of you and your child during family routines at home. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

Parents play an important role in a child’s development. The purpose of this study is to help researchers design the materials and content of family program tailored to both English-speaking and Latino Spanish-speaking families. Researchers hope their findings lead to a better understanding of how we can help Latino families to support their children’s development and learning.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?

• Primary caregiver of a 4-year-old child who is healthy and developing typically
• Parent able to speak, read, and write in English and/or Spanish fluently
• Live in the United States

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Participation involves parents making videos with their children during family routines at home. The duration of the study is 2 weeks.
