Relationship Quality and Daily Routines in Couples
STUDY BASICS
Have you been in a married or cohabitating relationship lasting at least one year? Are you and your partner 45-64 years old and overweight? You and your spouse/partner may be eligible to participate in a research study to understand how relationship quality and daily routine behaviors affect physical activity and eating behaviors among middle aged couples. Compensation provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this research is to better understand how relationship quality and daily routine behaviors relate to eating behaviors and physical activity, which are critical for cardiovascular disease risk. In particular, the current study focuses on partner influence on daily routine behaviors, eating behaviors, and physical activity.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Are you and your partner/spouse:
- 45-64 years old
- Overweight or obese (BMI greater than 25)
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participation will occur in three parts:
- Part 1 will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and will involve completing a variety of questionnaires, interviews, and becoming familiar with completing the tasks for Part 2.
- Part 2 will consist of completing a series of brief surveys via email each day for 14 days.
- Part 3 will consist of returning the actigraph, and receive monetary compensation.
